The Skane Coast near Malmo

The following letter appeared in Practical Motorhome Magazine and Motorhome Monthly Magazine:

"If you are considering joining an escorted motorhome holiday, we can unreservedly commend to you the services of Crossings Motorhome Tours. We've just returned from a wonderful month-long tour of Sweden with the young company run by Bob and Wendy Reeves.

They are very experienced motorcaravanners who have fairly recently spent three years travelling 30,000 miles through 30 countries in Continental Europe. Bob and Wendy travel with each group, which is intentionally kept small (only eight to 10 motorhomes).

They are friendly and professional and they provide their service with efficiency, reassurance, fun and good humour. With this, they still give you the flexibility and freedom to 'do your own thing'. The only thing they can't organise for you is the weather! This is our 12th escorted motorhome tour in the past nine years. They have all been very enjoyable but Wendy and Bob's caring leadership is second to none. If you are interested, look at their website"

"We have just returned from our fourth tour with Crossings.

Our destination was Normandy & Brittany for two weeks and what a brilliant two weeks it was too - lovely fellow motorhomer's, beautiful weather and of course to top it off two excellent tour guide's ( Bob & Wendy ) throughout.

Roll on next year can't wait to see what tour's are on offer and last but least we would highly recommend Crossings Tours."

P & J, West Midlands

Etretat, Normandy

"We really enjoyed our tour of Normandy and Brittany. The packs were very informative, the locations well thoughtout and the campsites very good.

This was our first adventure in our motorhome aboard and with your help we now have the confidence to go on our own.

This was one of the best holidays we have had and we would certainly recommend it to others. We can't wait to see what tours you have planned for next year".

K & M, Cornwall

"Doug and I had an amazing time on our CMT. We did have some doubts before we set out, but they quickly disappeared once we all met up at Sandwich, a brilliant and important start to our holiday.

We have nothing but praise for our trip. Every detail had been meticulously covered by yourselves and we had no worries or issues - getting lost was down to the navigator on board!!

Your professionalism throughout was exceptional and the love, care a d service was "second to none".

None of us has any idea of the amount of time, energy, effort, mileage, computer hours etc spent organising just one trip, behind the scenes the work must be never ending for which we cannot thank you enough, and all the time your faces are happy and smiling.

We loved the two weeks we spent with you and our fellow travellers. People from all walks of life but what fun was had by all!

Doug and I have no qualms about recommending your Company or yourselves as outstanding hardworking tour guides to anyone wishing to travel abroad. It was an excellent holiday and we loved every minute of it.

Glad your liked the poem and song!!

"There is a thank you card in the post to you but this reiterates our thanks for another enjoyable trip.

Everything seemed to go very smoothly and , as usual, you had taken good care of everything.......... except the weather which was just too hot!! "

J & D, Dorset

"This was our first 'group' trip and it's fair to say that it more than exceeded our expectations.

You did a grand job and we had a great time...and we'd be grateful if you would mail us your 2018 brochure when convenient.

Only point I'd make is a positive one in as much as we would have liked to spend an extra day or two in a couple of the the holiday by couple of days??...or drop a site?? Preferably, the former.

All the very best to you and we both (oh..ok all 3 of us) look forward to hearing from you as previously mentioned".

T, J & L, Essex

Mont St Michel

"We are still buzzing from the trip, it was A-MAZ-ING. We can't believe the hard work you both put in to organising these trips. The pack that you sent out leading up to the tour was so informative, remembering every little detail that us 'first timers' may have over looked. We could not fault the tour at all, was over far too quickly, we were ready to keep on going.

So, a huge thanks to you both for making our trip so memorable and if you will have us, we would love to tour with you again.

Now for the scores..........Bob and Wendy 10/10! All the campsites were good but, Concarneau has to be our overall favourite place with 9/10, and the Municipal site at Fougeres was so lovely and peaceful, plus we did have a good spot!

S & D, Kent

"Thank you, we had a good time and gained much useful information and experience. Two weeks is a good test for newcomers like us and we found it enjoyable throughout".

P & E, London

I would not recommend anyone to travel with you ................unless they:

Want an adventure ?
Crave the sun ?
Go with 'Crossings'
Have mega fun.

"We really enjoyed the tour and found it a valuable source of information, on all aspects of motorhoming on the continent. Both from the tour guides and the other couples in our group. We enjoyed meeting everyone and had great group meals and outings.

The trip has given us the confidence to plan a longer trip on our own and is something we will remember with a smile for many years".

D & D, Nottinghamshire

Half-timbered houses

"Just returned from the Bavaria and Black Forest Tour, which was our first and certainly won't be our last. We have had a brilliant time and seen so many places that we wouldn't have had the confidence to venture to, had we been on our own.

Dave and Sue were brilliant and were always available for any help or advice, and we met a lovely bunch of fellow travellers, some of whom will remain as friends.

The whole experience is not just about the places you visit, but the fun times spent with like minded people, who share your enthusiasm for motorhoming. Can't wait to book the next one"!

D & T, Staffordshire

Luxembourg City

"Overall the trip was a great success with many interesting places visited and many glorious sights".

G & D, West Sussex

Boat on the Mosel

"We felt the as tour leaders Dave and Sue got it just right for us. They greeted us at each camp site with a smile and each evening called for a chat and gave us  all the info about the public transport and points of interest in the area.

To sum our holiday: Good leadership, Good tour route, Great weather, Good fun .

Would we go again - Oh yes but next time will be with our dog  as we met lots of Brits with their dogs on board".

J & K, Macclesfield

Mist on the Rhine

"Thoroughly enjoyed the Bavaria and Black Forest tour with Dave and Sue, who once again were excellent. We caught an earlier ferry on the way home and did not have time to thank them properly for making the whole trip a most enjoyable experience, so perhaps you would be kind enough to pass on our appreciation and good wishes.

The trip was wonderful, saw some beautiful scenery along the way, especially loved Bernkastel- Kues, Rudesheim, Triberg, the sombre but moving visit to Dachau, the pretty town of Titisee, and the stunning architecture of the Le Petite France district, and the Cathedral in Strasbourg. A packed trip, lots to see and do, and met some lovely people in the group.

We hope to see you again next year all being well".

B & J, Bedfordshire

The Belvedere, Vienna

"Four wheels on our wagon & our fourth completed tour with Crossings, this time the Central Europe Explorer Tour.

We regularly travel under our own steam but it is so easy & quick to see what tours are available, pick up the phone & have a chat with Wendy who then books everything for you. All you have to do is just turn up. The added bonus is that you also get to travel with like minded travellers.

This has been our most adventurous tour with them so far. There were so many interesting places & friendly people we were fortunate to meet on our travels, not forgetting the selection of local food/drink.

The biggest surprise to us is how excellent most of the roads are with new motorways & dual carriageways being constructed. As for all the availability of numerous & frequent trams, buses, trains etc & how regularly they run, we could do with same standards being applied in the UK.

It was a wonderful experience not to be missed & glad we decided to book this tour".

D & J, Lincolnshire

Radio Prague

"As first time tourers we enjoyed the trip and learnt a lot. Admittedly it was a long way and we felt really tierd when we came home.

We enjoyed the campsites and would have liked to have stayed longer. The tour was well organised with you looking after us and pointing us in the right direction.

Our fellow motorhomes were great company and we look forward to another trip.

We certainly would recommend crossings".

V & D, Devon

Chain Bridge, Budapest

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank you both for making our trip to Eastern Europe so enjoyable, it really was one of the best holidays we have ever had, made all the more pleasurable by you and all the other lovely people we travelled with.

Everything was so well organised and you were always so helpful, often beyond the call of duty. We will have so many happy memories to look back on".

C & C, Bedfordshire

"Sandra and I are new motorhomers but we knew we wanted to make the most of our retirement gift to each other and spend some time touring the continent.

We originally booked with Crossings just to get a feel for touring on the other side of the channel before going it alone. Because of availability we signed up for the 25 day central European Tour May 2017.

I can confidently state that we certainly will be booking again and again. There are two reasons. First the cost. When you take into account the site bookings and the ferry 'Crossings' have got a very cost effective package. Second. Something I hadn't considered before booking, the company.

Travelling with a group of people (friends) with whom you can share a wonderful adventure with is the unexpected highlight of this experience. Thank you Bob and Wendy".

B & S, Essex

"Stumbling across Bob and Wendy and their Crossings stall at the NEC show in 2014 has changed our motor homing lives as far as travelling abroad is concerned.  This was only our fourth holiday abroad together in nearly 40 years (the third was with Crossings to the Italian Lakes!) so the thought of heading overseas with a motor home has been scary to say the least.

Crossings has changed that for us and has taken away all the worry of booking ferries and sites and planning routes.  We know from experience that if there are any problems, the Crossings tour leaders are there to help and advise.

Dave and Sue were great on this holiday - Bob and Wendy could not have chosen better for their second in command!  We are hoping we’ll get chance to do another trip with them sometime.

As far as going on another Crossings tour was concerned, we were back in the UK for just two weeks before heading back to Sandwich to meet up with Bob and Wendy for our third Crossings tour to Normandy and Brittany.   They do say that you can't have too much of a good thing!"

D & S, York

Austrian Alps

"Recently returned from our third trip with Crossings Motorhome Tours and already contemplating where to go with them next.

We received very detailed and informative pre-tour documentation for all three tours, with details of every campsite, driving route and optional excursions for both traveling days between sites and from the sites.

The tours themselves went very well with just the right (for us) level of tour leader involvement and freedom to do our own thing. All the campsites were of a high standard and the whole experience gave us an introduction to countries that we had not previously visited with our motorhome. Certainly 5 stars"!

K & J, Guernesy

Bern, Switzerland

"We had a fantastic time on our trip to Austria, Switzerland etc.

Dave and Sue were magnificent. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they made the trip so enjoyable".

B,A and J, Hertfordshire

Mist on the mountains

"We were very impressed with our trip, from booking until arriving back home. Booking was easy, the pack sent was very informative, giving plenty of ideas and options for routes and sightseeing opportunities, with no pressure.

Dave and Sue were brilliant. They were very friendly and helpful, instantly making us welcome.

This was our first organised tour, we thoroughly enjoyed being part of a group. Everyone was friendly and we were able to mingle as much we wanted, regularly meeting up with fellow travellers whilst visiting tourist attractions.

The campsites selected were in locations that enabled us to visit places that we would probably not venture to on our own. We would have no hesitation in recommending Crossings and would hope to travel with you in the future".

C & M, Somerset

Keukenhof Gardens

"We both had a fantastic time and your organisation and attention to detail before and during this last 2 weeks exceeded all expectations. We really didn't want the holiday to end, and can't wait to go again.

You were not only great tour leaders, you were also part of the holiday group who gelled so well together, the holiday wouldn't have been the same without you or the other new friends we made, it felt like one big new family.

A & A, Lincolnshire

More Keukenhof - can't get enough!

Wendy and Bob were just brilliant, very knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. We had a great time and did things we hadn't done for years.

The people on the tour were fantastic and we all gelled together. My birthday was made wonderful due to the company of what I can now call friends.

I wish Wendy and Bob continues success in all they do. Love to all the gang and Molly the Wheaten Terrier who was a joy to have around.

"We enjoyed our tour with you and an excellent group of motorhomers, who we hope will be happy to travel abroad in the future".

S & D, Hexham

The Kinderdijk Windmills
Positives (in no particular order):
Fantastic campsites; well planned tour organised to perfection; two good restaurants used for the group meals; easy introduction to driving a motorhome in Europe for the first timer; no pressure to join in group activities if you did not want to; made to feel very welcome from the start; tour started and ended in the UK; made some good friends.
Will we book another tour with Crossings? YES, YES, YES. Cannot wait for the new brochure to arrive. If you are nervous about driving in Europe for the first time you could not go wrng with Crossings. They are the best in the business!

G & S, Oxford

King's Day in The Netherlands

We enjoyed the trip so much, it exceeded our expectations due to the way your both organised everything, made such we were all happy, safe and confident with the driving.

Your organisation left nothing to chance, the information pack was informative, well written and so easy to follow The sites were all brilliant, the routes were easy to follow, the places we visited were amazing,  the loading and offloading on the ferry was much easier that I thought it would be, and the meals out were fantastic.

We both really did enjoy every minute, and it came at just the right time for me, it has helped me so much in coming to terms with losing my mum.

Jack and I both say that there could not of been 2 better people for the job than you too !!  You are the most  friendly, professional, caring, patient, understanding people we had had the privilege to meet.  I do so hope that we can keep in touch, we

would love to meet again as we so did enjoy your company.

K & J, Oswestry

Amsterdam Canals

Many thanks for providing us with a very enjoyable first tour on the continent. We both had a really enjoyable time without being over organised. We will see you at the Norwich show in July and will certainly be looking to come on the Normandy and Brittany tour next year.

Once again many thanks for all your help and wish you well on your next tour.

D & R, Lincolnshire

We both would like to thank you for a great tour - it was truly memorable and happy experience. What a great crowd of 'chuggers' and everyone was so good and kind to Molly (the dog). Once again, many thanks and wish you continued success.

The Opera House, Zagreb

"We have recently returned from a fantastic trip with Bob and Wendy across France, Germany, Austria and Slovenia to Croatia.

Although we have owned a motor home for six years, we have never ventured abroad with ours. We were quite apprehensive about our first trip abroad but the support and encouragement we received from Bob and Wendy was brilliant . The group of fellow travelers with us were a mixture of experience and novice continental travellers, who we had a lot of fun and laughs with.

We made some wonderful friends while seeing such a beautiful country all thanks to Crossings Motorhome Tours".

C & A, Dorset

The Adriatic Coast

"We both felt it well organised and we enjoyed the freedom it gave us to join in with the others or be by ourselves. Still doing the washing daily but by hand he!he!

You touched on a variety of places to see and things to do which were a great experience. You were there to give advice which we have both stored in the back of our minds, you were there to help when the van played up. Wendy your cheery smile going round us all daily was great".

J & N, Fife

Maltatel - en route home

"Recently returned from our tour of Croatia & Slovenia magnificent trip, this was our second venture with Crossings Motorhome Tours, we were not disappointed, organization and planning was up to there usually high standard, we were initially apprehensive about the distance but thought the driving days were well balanced and transit sites perfectly located and reached comfortably, we still consider ourselves newbies so any like minded motor homers should definitely not be put off, what  a great experience, book early!!

A great tour group we thank you all for sharing some of your time with us, fond memories.

A special thanks to Bob & Wendy who gave us much needed support when we had to return home early organizing our transit site and ferry crossing particularly at a time when our thoughts were elsewhere, you went that extra mile"!

I&S, Leicestershire

Plitvice Lakes

"Just got home from our 25 night tour of Slovenia and Croatia, we had a fabulous time and apart from a couple of occasions the weather behaved itself.

Bob and Wendy were their usual attentive selves, giving everyone the right level of support without going over the top.

We visited some lovely locations, met some great people and we even booked next year's Tour whilst away.

We wouldn't hesitate recommending Crossings Motorhome Tours to anyone".

D & J, Swansea

Tram in Zagreb, Croatia

"Thank you both so much again for a lovely time. We thoroughly enjoyed the itinerary and the group overall was one of the friendliest we've known.

We had a superb time all round, due almost entirely to your sterling efforts both before and during the trip".

G & D, Kent

Ljubljana, Slovenia

"Just back from a fabulous holiday to Slovenia and Croatia with Crossings Motorhome Tours. We had only had our first motorhome for 3 months and were initially a little apprehensive about the trip.

Our worries were soon proved to be unfounded, with Bob and Wendy's organisation and planning, fantastic choice of locations and sites and useful tips and guidance, we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

We would definitely recommend Crossing Motorhome Tours to everyone, whether you are new to motor homing like ourselves or experienced motorhomers who are keen to visit some new and exciting places and meet like minded, friendly people. All you need to do is sit back and ENJOY! Bob and Wendy will see to everything else.

Thanks again for a wonderful experience, we will be joining you again on one of your tours".

F & J, Merseyside

St Mark's Church, Zagreb

"We would like to thank you both for a fantastic trip to Slovenia and Croatia. Also, thank you to the rest of the group for their good company. We have certainly taken home some lovely memories.

We had a great time , everything was organised superbly. The driving distances and the campsites were just right.

We never felt under any pressure to participate and enjoyed all the company. Keep up the good work !

We look forward to seeing you at the show"

"Thanks for help in rearranging ferry return. All went well and we even managed to get an earlier crossing.

You have vast knowledge, experience and nous... back home now and knackered thanks so you. Brilliant!"

D & G, Hampshire

St Marks Square

“We had a fantastic time on our road trip and stay in Lake Garda. No complaints whatsoever, Dave and Sue were wonderful tour guides, and great company. They went the extra mile to look after us and make sure we were safe and sound, having a good time.

It was all a bit of an adventure for us, and a step outside our comfort zone, being the first time we had taken the motorhome abroad. However the organisation was first class, our fellow travellers were all easy to socialise with and we made some good friends on the trip. Driving abroad was fine, better roads than in the UK, less traffic, so quite pleasurable. The sites were all very good and would stay on any of them again. We would have no hesitation in travelling with Crossings again, it’s just a matter of deciding when and where.”

B & J, Bedfordshire

The Rialto Bridge, Venice

"We had a great time in Italy thanks. Dave and Sue could not have been more helpful or friendlier.

A brilliant time from start to finish".

J & A, Cumbria

Lake Garda

"A big thank you to Dave and Sue for our wonderful Lake Garda holiday with Crossings. The highlight of the journey for us was the drive down through the French Alps ,the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. Would have liked to have spent more time in this region.

"We enjoyed our stay at Lake Garda as the weather was very kind to us.There was plenty of lake side villages to visit and to enjoy the many flavoured ice creams (what a selection). Thank you once again for another great holiday".

I & A, Nottinghamshire

The Kaknas Tower, Stockholm

"Well, as I hope you know, we had a great time with everyone, and are really glad we were able to join the group. I don’t think we’d have been as adventurous on our own as the miles through Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany would have seemed very daunting.

I found it very relaxing to have our itinerary mapped out for us and all the sites booked, as that would usually be my job. For each journey there was advice on places we might like to visit on or near the route, and at every destination more advice on where to go and what to do - with the alternative of just doing nothing if wished. Plus all the important stuff that goes with that information, like bike routes and the nearest bus stop and railway station, not to mention local shops and hypermarkets.

The tour pack you provided always gave us all the information we needed on where we were going and when, and was backed up by your input once we reached the sites.

We enjoyed everyone’s company and appreciated the relaxed tone of the whole tour - apart from turning up at a campsite before it closed for the night, it didn’t matter if you arrived first or last, you could take as long as you liked. And the biggest plus for the Crossings tour was your stewardship. Patiently and efficiently sorting out minor problems, and our major ones, seemed to be second nature for you both and we couldn’t be more impressed and grateful".

A & J, Dorset

Stockholm Town Hall

"Please pass on our thanks to Dave and Sue [and] thanks for two really interesting tours.

We learned a great deal about all the places we visited over the seven weeks and feel we have started to move out of the 'novice' category...we shall see".

D & L, Kent

The cottages at Brandaholm

"There are various reasons why someone may decide to book a guided tour, from the ‘Nervous at driving abroad’,’' ‘Need route planned for you’, ‘Good company’, ‘Safety in numbers’ or ‘Help and assistance should something go wrong’.

It is safe to say all of the above were provided on our 3rd trip with Crossings on the tour of Sweden.

Bob and Wendy’s services were required so often by various members of the tour that we renamed them ‘International Rescue’. It is fair to say that everyone certainly got value for money in that respect.

However, despite the various mishaps, we had a great time on this tour and we can see why it is their favourite destination. Even though we were travelling for 25 days, we only got a small taste of what Sweden and Denmark has to offer. A very diverse country from beaches to countryside and lakes to cities. It has so much to offer and the locals are ultra friendly in this beautiful place. We will definitely be going back to some of the places we visited to explore further, in particular Stockholm and Copenhagen. Lidkoping and Kalmar are also on our list. It is safe to say that Sweden tour has something for everyone and there is no one better qualified than Bob and Wendy to show you".

T & L, St Helens

Karlskrona harbour

"If you are wanting to explore Sweden and don't quite know where to start,  I thoroughly recommend letting Crossings Motorhome Tours show you the best places,  leaving  you to sit back,  relax and enjoy the company of like minded fellow tourers.

Bob and Wendy share their extensive travel experiences with an unobtrusive, nothing is too much trouble, friendly assistance throughout the tour".

"Just to say we really enjoyed our recent tour. It was well organised and planned well and we were given everything we needed to have a carefree holiday.

We would recommend Crossings Motorhome Tours.  We enjoyed also meeting you both and making new friends on the tour".

J & S, Bristol

On the road to Nyons

"Just a short note on the part of the Taste of Provence Tour that we took part in. The trip onthe whole was very good, instructions to the sites very informative as were the driections to each area...we felt that you did everything you could to help us and more beside".

R & D, Manchester

"We enjoyed the tour and thought your customer service ethics second to can't do enough to make sure the customer is happy".

A & N, West Yorkshire

The Swiss capital, Bern

"Thank you for a great tour, we both enjoyed it very much. The information you sent regarding the tour was first class. We were very happy with all the sites having been on the best pitches in Austria.

With being first time travellers abroad with the motorhome we had some concerns but the support  and information we received took our concerns away. The only downside for us, we could have stayed longer on some sites after the long drives.  Having a flexible booking for the return ferry was advantageous as we stayed longer. Finally a big thanks to everyone for the support for my bike ride".

D & K, North Yorkshire

The Parliament Building, Bern

"We travelled with Bob and Wendy for the second time and had another excellent trip. It was only a two week trip and we could have easily spent longer at each stop off point. The highlights were the Swiss capital of Bern and the three nights near Innsbruck at Zell am Zee.

The beauty of travelling with Crossings is the small number of vans, meaning a close group was developed by the end of the trip. Once again, Bob and Wendy were excellent hosts who provide assistance as and when required, leaving you to make your own plans and make the most of your holiday. They organised a coach trip up the Grossglockner which was amazing in both location and value for money.

The downsides, which are obviously out of Bob and Wendy’s control, are tolls and the weather. However, we have already booked for the upcoming Sweden trip and are looking forward to seeing them again".

T & L, Lancashire

Low cloud in the Austrian Alps

"Thank you for arranging the Alps Tour. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves even if we took longer than other to arrive at most of the campsites! Thank you also for your help, support and patience. Nothing seemed too much trouble for either of you.

We both think that it would be good to stay longer at some places, for example the campsite at Bruck, as there appeared to be many interesting things to see and do nearby. All the campites you chose were lovely and we would recommend them to our friends. Our favourites were the Austrian campsites.

The tour overall was very well organised and informative and our chosen routes were very picturesque! It was lovely that the whole group (leaders included) got on well and friendly banter between us all made the trip a most enjoyable experience".

T & S, Bristol

En route through Switzerland

"Reluctantly home after a very well organised trip to The Alps. As with all good things, they just don't  last long enough,  hey-ho!  Such a good way to discover stunning places without having to do the planning. The added bonus is travelling with a group of likeminded friendly folk.

Bob and Wendy have perfected the art of escorting  'Independent  Motorhomers' on tours!  No easy task? Sweden next..."

JC, Suffolk

A church in the Austrian Mountains

"We would like to say a big thank you for looking after us on our recent trip with you to the Alps. Sue has always been apprehensive about travelling abroad in our motorhome and that was the reason we decided to go on an escorted tour. From the moment we booked to our arrival back home, you could have not been more helpful. Your communication and information on the tour mirrored the professionalism you showed throughout.

Another thing that was of great comfort, was meeting up with you and the other clients at a campsite close to Dover the day before crossing the Channel. This gave us the opportunity to ask any last minute queries and iron out any anxieties we may have still had. Thanks once again and we can’t wait to see you on the Sweden trip".

D & S, Staffordshire

Bern, Switzerland

"As usual the service from Crossings Motorhome Tours was excellent. All the arrangements were smooth and the sites were very good with excellent facilities. The scenery was wonderful and the drives were very scenic. Lake Achensee was beautiful and the drive up to it was fantastic.

Swarovski Crystal near Innsbruck is certainly worth visiting but give yourself plenty time. We went to Dachau on our way out of Germany it is a worthwhile visit and not far off the route for the next site. You meet lovely people with like minded interests and have lots of laughs. This is the third tour we have done with Crossings! We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and are can't wait for our next one!!"

H & C, Aberdeenshire

Innsbruck, Austria

"Bob and Wendy offer an exceptional, professional and happy service to us motorhomers. Whether you are a novice or well travelled old timer, you cannot fail to enjoy yourself especially when all the hard planning work has been done for you. The "Italian Job" proved sooooooo good, we signed up for "The Hills are Alive" trip....Austria/Switzerland...before coming home.Met some super people whom we hope to meet again one day.....if they can get booked up before trips sell out!!"

M & D, Warwickshire

Slightly hazy on the Grossglockner

"This is our third tour with Crossings and this has been the most adventurous tour (yet) we have taken with them. The routes and information provided give you the choice of either taking Toll or Non Toll Roads, or you can mix & match them to visit sites/towns etc you wish to visit on route.

The drive through France was excellent except for the shortage of fuel due to a National Strike/Blockade of refineries, but fortunately it did not cause us any problems.

Some of the campsites were 5 star with excellent restaurants & facilities that far exceeded what we have at home. Bern is a wonderful town to visit with a good mixture of things to see & do, we could easily have spent more time there. In Austria we visited the town of Innsbruck & later took the cable car up to the highest peak. Unfortunately the cable car broke down so we were stuck at the top for a lot longer than expected, but it is certainly something we will not forget in a hurry!

A coach trip up the Grossglockner was organised which was easier than driving up yourself, but alas the weather was not very kind that day, but what we did see was out of this world".

D & J, Horncastle

On the drive home in the Alps

"Just a short personal note to let you know we really enjoyed our first organised motorhome tour to Lake Garda. We had some trepidations before the start as we had not previously experienced this type of holiday with a motorhome and as part of a group. However, I have to say that these concerns proved to be completely unfounded as we enjoyed the holiday and even the travelling immensely.

We must complement you on your organisational skills, the personal attention and time you take to ensure everyone on the trip was completely happy and comfortable. We have thought about the holiday a lot since we returned but we can't think of any negatives and are really struggling to come up with any suggestions for improvement".

Evening on Lake Garda

"We have recently returned from a trip to the Italian Cities and Lakes with Bob and Wendy of Crossings Motorhome Tours. This was our second trip with them and probably will not be our last. Their attention to detail and friendliness to everyone is exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and if you have a problem it is quickly sorted out.

We met a fantastic group of people, had some wonderful group meals and stayed in some stunning locations. A great holiday.Thank you both very much".

Another typical Venice scene!

"We both want to thank you for the fantastic holiday we have just had, your detail to organisation was superb and your level of interaction as tour leaders with us was exceptional. It also benefitted us greatly with your knowledge of the areas we visited so we could visit places we may have normally missed.

The only thing we felt would have improved the holiday for our benefit would have been another night on the return journey at Guignicourt, only to delay the process of returning home. We hope in the near future to take up another of your tours (yet to decide which one though!!)"

The Rialto Bridge, Venice

“We have just returned from a fabulous Italian Lakes and Cities trip with Crossings Motorhome Tours Ltd, hosted superbly by Bob and Wendy Reeves. From the initial briefing to the time we had to say our final goodbyes we were thoroughly looked after, with support and guidance being available to all guests 24/7. This took away any apprehension we had about travelling abroad for the first time in our Motorhome, making our holiday so much more enjoyable.

Crossings Motorhome Tours Ltd operate an itinerary which provides an overall structure for the trip, but one which also has in-built flexibility allowing you the freedom to do your own thing whenever you choose. We particularly liked the recommended stop-off sight-seeing opportunities on route to and from Lake Garda.

We would highly recommend Crossings Motorhome Tours Ltd for anyone considering an escorted tour abroad in the future”

St Mark's Square, Venice

"We are safely back and enjoying reflecting on a great holiday. We really enjoyed the trip and the company of everyone. Thank you for your hard work.

Good company, good weather, lovely group meals and a great atmosphere from start to finish"!

The Coliseum at Verona

"I cannot think of any way you could improve this tour, from the way you looked after everyone so thoroughly (and happily) to the fantastic organisation of sites, ferry, information at each stop and help (you helped mend by bicycle, Bob!)

Best wishes to you both, and congratulations on making our first tour with you so memorable. 'Lang may your lum reek', as they say north of the border. Hope to travel with you again".

More Keukenhof (there are 8 million bulbs!)

"Thank you both for another brilliant holiday. We can honestly say that it was as brilliant as our Paris trip with you last year because you both made it easy and fun.

The forward planning and the wealth of experience that you both put into the trip really pays off for your guests as we enjoyed the whole adventure. The group completely gelled thanks to your ability to make it fun and adventurous. We cannot wait until September and our Italian trip with Crossings".

Dutch lunchtime stop

"Thank you for your efforts on ensuring we had a most enjoyable and fun holiday. This was our first trip with Crossings and it delivered more than was written on the tin. The sites selected allowed us to venture to the many attractions and your attention to detail was much appreciated.

For us the “light touch” on allowing the group members to make their individual selections worked well, with the backup information always available from your knowledge base.

Every time we see a tulip we will be reminded of this trip, also you will be surprised to hear we have just about finished the cheese!  There is no doubt the new friends we met, like us, will be looking forward to next year’s brochure".

D & S, Cornwall

Keukenhof Gardens

"I don't think the is anything we would change in the Taste of Holland tour. It was ideal as a first time venture with a motorhome abroad. All the information supplied was well researched and your local knowledge was first class and really appreciated, because of this we got a lot more out of the holiday than if we had gone solo.Look forward to the next Crossings tour".

D & E, Cambridgeshire

Commonwealth War Graves

"After a very calm crossing we took the route down the Opal coast. We were very much taken with the wide open scenery, numerous beaches, variety of towns & villages plus the lack of other vehicles on the road. This is an area that a lot more time could be spent in.

Driving around the Periphique was very interesting as vehicles come at you from all directions. The sites location is very convenient for the train station & so makes venturing into Paris & the Versailles Gardens very easy.

On the first day we woke up to brilliant sunshine, which turned into a hot day for our visit to the Gardens of Versailles. The Versailles brochure says you need to allow two hours to walk around the garden before visiting the house. We ended up spending all day just walking around it, so the Palace will just have to wait until the next time...The following day was spent doing the normal touristy things in Paris.

Visiting some of the Commonwealth War Graves on route & the very informative exhibitions/museums, plus seeing the landscape gave us a far better understanding of the terrain & horrific conditions the soldiers had to endure in the First World War. The campsite near St Quentin is in the heart of the Somme region, is absolutely gorgeous & we could quite happily have stayed there for at least another week.

This was our second tour with Crossings. As usual the tour was well documented & organised. Bob & Wendy were on hand every day to ensure everything went as smoothly as possible".

Notre Dame, Paris

"As usual the planning for the tour was impeccable...The coastal route to Amiens was beautiful and we arrived at the first site having stopped off en route at Montreuil sur Mer... Wendy took us to the bus stop to ensure that we knew where we were going and which bus route to take to go into the city and we had a most enjoyable day...We had a great evening together at the campsite and got to know each other.

We all set off independently for the next campsite outside Versailles...The campsite at Versailles is a lovely site once you get used to the pitches. It is a forest site and the pitches are terraced among the trees. The facilities are very good and the bar and restaurant were great for socialising...The train for Paris and Versailles were within easy walking distance. We spent two fantastic days sightseeing.

Bob and Wendy checked with everyone every night and morning to check that everything was ok and to sort out any queries. They instilled in everyone the confidence to motor on their own and we all managed to tackle the Periphique independently...We had a group meal at night of traditional French cuisine which was most enjoyable.

Crossings Motorhome Tours are a very professional company and nothing is too much bother for them. They always go the extra mile to ensure that you have an enjoyable and trouble free holiday. Roll on the next one!!"

Our campsite in The Somme

"We were apprehensive taking our motorhome abroad for the first time. We need not have worried. You were very supportive and made it all easy. We felt we were with good friends. Thank you for a great time.

We are looking forward to doing this again, maybe next year.  Still in a motorhome of course! I may let him have electric bikes as a consolation prize!"

L & B, West London

Arc de Triomphe

"Having never taken our motorhome overseas before, Wendy & Bob ensured that our first trip was as smooth as possible. The itinerary gave us a great flavour of France with the tour allowing us plenty of freedom to explore Northern France, safe in the knowledge that the campsites were all organised and selected to provide great access to major tourist spots and local towns whist providing good facilities.

The attention to detail and personal commitment from Wendy & Bob to ensure everybody gets the most from the trip is exemplary. We would certainly book another trip with Crossings".

D & J, Abingdon

The Hortinollages, Amiens

"We enjoyed our trip, just what we were looking for.

Please send us your brochure for next year when ready. Many thanks"

B & L, Berkshire

Our overnight stop near Mont Blanc

"I very much enjoyed my holiday with Crossings I can not find anything at all to fault it or complain about. The Italy tour was a well planned enjoyable and a very happy occasion with friendly and helpful fellow motor homers and staff.

It was my first holiday in my motorhome. My first time abroad in my motorhome. My first time with Crossings but it will not be my last. Crossings has instilled in me a lust for adventure now that I am retired and have given me the confidence I needed to go and do it.

Thanks you Bob and Wendy for taking me under your wing. To Wendy for helping me park. To Bob for looking so cool in every situation".
